Delamotte Vintages
Delamotte Vintages
Blanc de Blancs Millésimé is only declared in years of exceptional quality. Each vintage is an archival statement.
THE PHILOSOPHY
ONLY DECLARED IN EXCEPTIONAL YEARS
Unlike many Champagne houses, Delamotte does not feel compelled to declare a vintage each year. The Blanc de Blancs Millésimé is produced only when the vintage provides fruit of the highest quality — typically three to four times per decade.
The wine is aged on lees for a minimum of 8 years before disgorgement — often considerably longer. Each vintage expresses the singular character of that year’s growing season, filtered through the chalk of Le Mesnil.
